New spots for 2009, plus old standbys

What are retailers thinking? Despite the gloomy economy, and, as of April, an alarming number of empty storefronts in the Hamptons, fashionable shops are springing up like crazy. Of course, some retailers are taking baby steps, such as leasing temporary spaces (better known as pop-up stores).
