Frette, Burberry, Gucci - this is luxury shopping at the highest end. So don't expect doorbusters. Still, you can stock up at popular retailers like Gap and Banana Republic.

With stores such as American Eagle Outfitters, Macy's, Target and Ikea, there is incentive to get out and spend. The first 500 shoppers will receive a Black Friday Survival Kit packed into a reusable shopping bag. Also, the first 300 customers to spend $150 will get a mall card worth $25.

With stores like Disney, Ann Taylor and Bloomingdale's, there's something here for just about everyone. And to help put you in a gift-giving mood, the mall is offering special promotions. Bleary-eyed early-morning shoppers in need of a cup of coffee can stop at the State Farm Coffee Giveaway (near the Burger King).

And once you've done your shopping, you can relax at the Rejuvenation Station in front of Bloomingdale's main level and sample some free goodies.

If you need some gift-giving inspiration, greeters will provide visitors to Roosevelt Field with a Shop Smarter Savings flier - also available at Simon Guest Services.

SMITH HAVEN MALL

313 Smith Haven Mall, Lake Grove, 631-724-1433, simon.com

With retailers like Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor and Barnes & Noble, it's a fine place to shop for holiday gifts. Nestle will be sampling mini Toll House cookies in Center Court from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. Or stop by the Rejuvenation Station in the Lifestyle Wing near J.C. Penney, where they'll be showing holiday movies on a flat-screen television provided by Sears. There will also be sample treats from Starbucks and other mall shops. More goodies will go to the first 100 shoppers who stop by Guest Services to receive a free tote bag full of surprises.

WESTFIELD SUNRISE MALL

Sunrise Highway, Massapequa Park, 516-795-3550, Westfield.com

Opening time: 5 a.m.

With fashion-forward retailers like H & M, American Eagle and Express, Westfield is celebrating the 12 days of shopping. Tanger Outlet Center at the Arches, 455 Commack Rd., Deer Park, 631-667-0600

Opening time: midnight, Thanksgiving night.

Shop from midnight right on through Black Friday. "Midnight Madness," now in its fourth year in Riverhead, draws hordes of younger shoppers, so expect crowds at stores like Juicy Couture, Aeropostale, Timberland, Tommy Hilfiger, American Eagle, and Nike. For moms who put their kids to bed and grab a girl's night out, favorite stores are Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma. Other hot spots: DKNY and Michael Kors. In Deer Park, expect crowds at places like Reebok, Gap and Nike. The skating rink at Deer Park will be open for a few turns around the ice, and the first 250 customers to show up Thanksgiving night get a free PJ Moose plush toy.

MALL AT THE SOURCE

1504 Old Country Rd., Westbury, 516-228-0303

Opening time: 6 a.m. (all retailers to be open by 7 a.m.)

Bargain hunter alert: With retailers like Nordstrom Rack and Saks Off Fifth, the Mall at the Source is a great place to get a deal on your holiday shopping. But this season the mall offers special promotions that go beyond money-savers.

The first 100 customers to visit Guest Services get a special gift. If you need to take a break from shopping, stop by the Rejuvenation Station in Fortunoff Court on the upper level, where you can unwind with holiday movies and treats.

WALT WHITMAN MALL

160 Walt Whitman Road, Huntington Station, 631-271-1741

Opening time: 7 a.m. (Lord & Taylor and Macy's at 5 a.m.)

Lord & Taylor, Saks, Banana Republic, Coach, Sephora . . . if you can't fill Santa's bag here, you aren't trying. To keep your energy up through a full day of shopping, Hershey's Bliss greeters will be giving away free samples, as will representatives from mall retailers. The Rejuvenation Station - sponsored by Audi of Huntington and DirecTV - will also have free food samples throughout the day, plus free mini-massages by the Salon & Spa at Saks Fifth Avenue. If, on the other hand, you're looking to give back a little something, you can participate in the Island Harvest Food Drive by dropping off nonperishable items at the collection in center court.

With warm, sunny weather, it's the perfect time to explore the best parks for kids.
