Huntington: Early-bird special @ Piccolo
If you're an early diner, Piccolo in Huntington has a three-course, fixed-price dinner for you. Price: $24.95.
The special dinner is available every day, from 5 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Some of the dishes are from the Italian restaurant's regular menu, too. Choices include a tasty rigatoni Bolognese (tagliatelle is used in the main menu version); sole with tomato and basil in a lemon-white wine sauce; grilled salmon; veal Parmigiana; and breaded chicken with spinach. Appetizers include fried calamari, mussels fra diavolo, pear salad and a very good eggplant rollatini. It's cheesecake of chocolate "lava" cake for dessert.
