Kidsday talks with Jonas Brothers

We interviewed the Jonas Brothers while they were staying at the Trump Hotel in Manhattan.

Did any of you want to become famous?

Nick: I think for us it is more about the music and really loving that part of the whole thing. The fame that comes along with it, you have to take it day by day. But it is kind of an honor more than anything. The screaming girls and things like that, you kind of laugh at, at the end of the day.

What do you like to do when you are not performing?

Kevin: We spend a lot of time playing golf, seeing friends. When we are not performing, we are working on lots of new things. There are new bands that we are working on and producing and co-writing. We are working on our television show right now, which is really cool, and writing a book.

After doing the movie " Camp Rock," you now have a new comedy series going to the Disney Channel. Why did you think of doing this?

Nick: The Disney Channel approached us to do the show. Acting is kind of a new thing. It is going to be interesting to get used to, but we are enjoying ourselves, and the cast is great. You guys will really like the show.

What inspires you to write most of your songs?

Nick: A lot of the time it is relationships, life experiences. The song "A Little Bit Longer" was a song I wrote about my diabetes. For the most part, they are all very personal to us. A lot of people write in journals and things like that; we write songs. It is our way of kind of venting at times and rejoicing at times and kind of putting it into song form.

Kevin, if you could work with a musician from the past, who would it be?

Kevin: Jimi Hendrix. As a guitarist myself, I think he is one of the most influential guitarists ever. So I would have loved to have met him and played with him, as well.

Do you ever get tired of going on tour?

Kevin: We love it so much. It is the most fun thing in the world -- traveling around the world, playing shows, meeting new people -- it is the best.

Who was the best star you have ever worked with?

Nick: You guys like Demi Lovato? We co-wrote and co-produced six of the songs on her record. She was a lot of fun to work with.

If you could be remembered for anything, what would it be?

Nick: I think we would want to be remembered for our music and our integrity.
