Parto's chef-owner, Frank Spatola hails from Sicily. His restaurant is housed in a circa-1729 building that was the first Suffolk County courthouse.

I stopped in for lunch and enjoyed a fine light-crusted Margherite pizza. Minestrone soup was brimming with bright vegetables. The menu also lists such classics as chicken cacciatore and eggplant rollatine.

For dessert, there are such Italian favorites as tiramisu and granita.



Hours: Monday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
