Funcho's Fajita Grill has been serving up straightforward Tex-Mex cuisine in Riverhead for five years. In a freestanding building about a mile from the Tanger Outlet Malls, Funcho's is a casual place that can seat fewer than 20 people, and much of its business is takeout. Try the Funcadilla, its version of a quesadilla, with sour cream, gaucamole, jack and cheddar cheeses, steak, chicken, sauteed onions and peppers, and corn and black beans for $7.99. Or get the Buried Burrito, weighing more than a pound and filled with rice, beans, sour cream and cheese, with enchilada sauce and melted cheese over the top for $6.50. Add beef, chicken or steak for a bit more. The restaurant has spun off a second branch in Westhampton Beach.
