Digger's

Diggers is a lively restaurant with a traditional Irish pub feel to it. The decor features brass and wood, and the place is dominated by the 54-foot horseshoe-shaped bar. Digger's has a DJ on Thursdays, and live bands playing a variety of music on Fridays and Saturdays. The food runs from chicken to steaks, seafood, burgers and pasta. Prime rib comes in three cuts from 12 to 24 ounces, and comes with choice of potato, vegetable, and soup or salad. For the 24 ounce cut, it's $22.95. Danish-style baby back ribs, done in the restaurant's house sauce, are $17.95. Four Irish specials are offered, including shepherd's pie and fish and chips, for $14.95. The restaurant has 10 beers on tap and another 25 in bottles. The wine list of about 25 vintages includes local selections. Produce, too, is purchased locally. The dining room can seat 150 and there is a private room for 85.
