Cyril Fitzsimons, with his long white beard and flowered sarong, is the authentic East End character who presides over this roadside hot spot. Neither plastic furniture nor paper and plastic utensils deter the faithful from coming for their fixes of reggae music, tropical drinks and Carribean-accented seafood.

You'll like the barbecued salmon over greens, which makes a light and satisfying lunch or dinner. A jerk mako sandwich features succulent well-spiced fish and waffle fries. The lobster roll is always right.

Key lime cheesecake is even better when eaten in the moonlight.
