This restaurant was remodeled a year ago for a modern take on the classic airy and window-filled diner. Popular with locals year round, but packed with East End trippers during the summer, it can seat up to 240. It's filled even in the wee, wee hours, after the clubs let out.
The food ranges from American to Spanish, Italian and Greek. Breakfasts feature such items as eggs, corned beef hash, and omelettes that run from $6 to $7.95. Lunches offer burgers, gyros, clubs, and daily specials, such as grilled salmon over Caesar salad, with soup, choice of rice, vegetables and dessert for $12.95. Popular dinners include the prime rib at $17.95. or chicken verde, sauteed in white wine and lemon butter and topped with broccoli and mozzarella for $16.95. Dinners come with soup and salad, vegetable of the day, mashed potatoes and dessert.
