Tip of the weekWet grassWhen playing on wet grass, there are a few simple tips to keep in mind. Play the ball back in your stance and keep your stance slightly open. Take an extra club or two and keep the lower body "quiet" during the swing. When the ground is wet, excessive leg movements can cause many types of mis-hits, such as catching the ball fat or connecting too close to the club hozzle. Remember, open stance, extra club and quiet legs. -Nick Nicolich, Cantiague, Driving Range pro Copyright 2008 Newsday Inc. |
