The 2nd Annual Fire Island 5K "Run for Rose" will be held Sunday August 10th in Ocean Bay Park, Fire Island. This year's event is being held in memory of our Mom, Rose DiGangi. Mom passed on this past fall after a courageous battle with a malignant brain tumor. Let's all get together to raise funds for this disease and also to celebrate the life of such a wonderful woman.
Our new website is now up: http://www.fi5k.org **** the website to find all details about this year's event. Like last year 100% of the net proceeds from the event will be donated to The American Brain Tumor Association.
We are currently seeking sponsorship for all levels, details for sponsorship is also located on our website.
Remember this event is not just a 5K run, but a benefit as well. If you are not able to run, come out anyway and enjoy the family fun with raffles /food/ silent auction and Live Music from 12-430 at the Fire Island Hotel in Ocean Bay Park just steps from the ocean....
