Gino's Tuscany, 517 Main St., Islip; 631-581-9510. A haven for panini, pastas, huskier fare and Italian ices, Gino's knows how to satisfy the fan. Try the panino of eggplant, peppers and mozzarella.

Vinnie's Mulberry Street, 15 W. Main St., East Islip; 631-581- 7260. Vinnie's is popular with the court crowd and attracts the diamond buffs, too. The soup of escarole and beans stands out. Pizza, too.

Tuscany House, 2765 Sunrise Hwy., Islip Terrace; 631-224-1300. A destination for pizzas, calzones and pastas, where it's understood that you may be in a hurry. You'll get to the park for the first pitch.

Tennessee Jack's BBQ, 148 Carleton Ave., East Islip; 631-581-9657. In case you need a dose of pulled pork or brisket, this is the place. Good barbecue and good prices to match.

El Salvador, 98 Carleton Ave., Central Islip; 631-342- 0546. Homey, genial and to the point, this eatery prepares tasty chicken soup, meat tacos and pupusas, or cheese-packed tortillas.

Irish Coffee Pub, 131 Carleton Ave., East Islip; 631-277-0007. A mainstay in the neighborhood for the namesake beverage and for dishes such as shepherd's pie, corned beef and cabbage, and fish and chips.

Tellers Chophouse, 605 Main St., Islip; 631-277-7070. This is where you celebrate winning: One of Long Island's top palaces for porterhouse and rib eye, plus lobster, crab cakes, tuna sashimi, yellowtail ceviche and new American alternatives.

And, before or after extra innings, slide intoCoyle's, 509 Main St., Islip; 631-617- 5014. Waffle-cone sundaes, banana boats, brown cows, "blackout of '65 sundae," and, yes, a Brooklyn egg cream that refreshes - even if you're cursing Walter O'Malley and remembering the beloved boys of summer.

The 6,000-seat Citibank Park is at 3 Courthouse Dr. in Central Islip. For additional information about games and schedules, call 631-940-3825, or go to liducks.com.
