Other 3-stars on LI

October 12, 2007
Newsday food critic Peter M. Gianotti rates restaurants from no stars to four stars. Four means outstanding; three, excellent; two, very good; one, good; none, fair or poor.

Brivo in East Hills, Café Diane in Woodbury, and Toku in Manhasset received the three-star rating since mid-September. Earlier this year, Cafe Buenos Aires in Huntington and Nonnina in West Islip merited three stars; and Four Food Studio and Cocktail Salon in Melville was revisited and upgraded to three stars from two.

Last year, five restaurants earned a three-star rating: Jedediah's in Jamesport, Luigi Q in Hicksville, The North Fork Table & Inn in Southold, The Lake House in Bay Shore, and Prime in Huntington.

A four-star rating hasn't been given to a restaurant in Nassau or Suffolk since Stresa East in Woodbury opened in 2001.
