This can be, as the name suggests, a sunflower of a restaurant. Certainly, it's bright enough.

The Italian food often can be very good. And service has improved in recent years from the boredom-and-arrogance days. Still, it's usually better to dine here on weekdays rather than weekends, when the crowds are less and so's the pressure.

They prepare satisfying pasta e fagioli, risotto with mushrooms, cavatelli in meat sauce, and perciatelli all'Amatriciana, with an edge of bacon.

You'll enjoy red snapper alla Livornese; or, if you're not feeling saucy, straightforward grilled swordfish. Veal chop Milanese is another commendable choice.

Finish with a fruit tart, or cheesecake.
