Garlic permeates virtually every bite of the Italian cookery served at this longstanding Westbury favorite where the decor offers a time-trip back to the '80s.

Pizza is straightforward and satisfying. Spaghetti with meatballs (which are trifle bready but good nonetheless) will sustain you on a winter's day. On a lighter note is the cappellini with slivered vegetables, garlic and oil.

Tiramisu is skippable. Have an espresso instead; it's all you'll have room for.
