Sempre Vivolo
696 Motor Pky.
Hauppauge, NY 11788-5141

The Vivolo family has been in the restaurant business for the past 75 years, when Carmine Vivolo opened the first of several family-owned places, Villa Vivolo, in Brooklyn. The Hauppauge place, according to grandson Carmine Vivolo, was founded in 1986.
Here, you can get such classics as spaghetti carbonara and veal Valdostano (stuffed veal chop in a porcini mushroom sauce).
Walls are rich mahogany; the crowd who comes here, especially on weekends, are looking for a certain kind of ambience. Saturday nights, jackets are required for gentlemen. This is, after all, a special occasion place, one of the few remaining bastions of Old World grace and tradition.
