195A Woodcleft Avenue
Freeport, NY 11520

On the water side of the Nautical Mile canal, River House Grille boasts indoor and outdoor waterside dining. The menu is seafood based and rather contemporary. Starters include mussels that can be had marinara-style, Tex-Mex cilantro-lime style or with lemon-thyme; Cajun bbq shrimp, flash-fried calamari with smoky garlic-herb aioli and crispy artichokes with lemon-caper beurre noisette and balsamic-honey aioli as well as more traditional offerings: shrimp cocktail, baked clams and clams on the half shell. Among entrees, fish & chips, lobster, steaks and burgers toe the traditional line, while bouillabaisse, cumin-scented salmon with red-pepper broth, seared scallops with tasso ham and gnocchi and glazed pork loin with tempura vegetables draw on global influences.
