House of Dosas

416 South Broadway
Hicksville, NY 11801

Since 1999, House of Dosas has been serving a variety of authentic ethnic cuisine from the Southern part of India. The specialty of the house is the eponymous dosa, a huge pancake, made from lentil and/or rice and/or wheat flours, that can encase a variety of fillings. At House of Dosas, there are almost two dozen dosas to choose from, including masala dosa (filled with onion and potatoes), paneer dosa (filled with Indian cheese) and spinach dosa (self-explanatory). All are served with coconut chutney and the sweet-hot sauce called sambar. Also on offer are uthappams, thicker than dosas, with the fillings cooked in, and iddly, little steamed pancakes made from dosa batter. House of Dosas also serves a variety of rice dishes and curries, as well as Indian breads, desserts and drinks.
