White hot in season, red/bar brasserie is a magnet for Hamptonians, even those appalled by the lower-case business. The joint is noisy, crowded, as much NYC as Southampton in mood and crowd. But the food often is flavor-packed and the presentation suits the surroundings. Put up with the mob, or join in, and you can have a pretty good time. After cocktails, try the baked halibut, pan-roasted chicken, or pine nut-crusted rack of lamb. Fruits tarts are fine finales.
