Mazzi

493 E. Jericho Tpke.
Huntington, NY 11743-6362

Mazzi has a colorful, Venetian look and a cozy style. It's a dependable Italian restaurant, with full flavors and a distinct personality. Service sometimes can be lackluster, from the parking attendants to the waitstaff. But after a while, things do fall into place. You'll enjoy the butternut squash lasagna and the penne tossed with sausage, onions, garlic, peppers and tomatoes. The veal Milanese and New Zealand lamb chops are dependable choices, along with pan-seared diver scallops and the sole Francaise. The desserts include a spirited carrot cake and apple crumb pie, which may not transport you to Italy, but are fine on Jericho Turnpike.
