"Since 1975" is the proud inscription on the menu of this Roslyn Heights Chinese stalwart, which has been serving up such classics as chicken chow mein, roast pork egg foo yung and barbecued spareribs for as long as many locals can remember. Combination plates are justifiably popular.

The menu, however, goes beyond the old favorites to include such updated items as Chilean sea bass with black bean or garlic sauce and lobster pan-fried with ginger and scallions. Sichuan and Hunan dishes are available too, so that anyone who wants some General Tso's chicken or orange beef can have their hankerings gratified - as spicy or mild as desired.

For dessert, what could be more appropriate than cherry-studded pistachio ice cream with a fortune cookie?
