Le Chef has been in Southampton for 27 years, serving continental cuisine in a bistro setting. The restaurant seats just 55 in a long, narrow room adorned with prints from local artists. There is a cozy little bar and a chic pastel finish. Lunches are casual. During the summer season, Le Chef offers a Sunday brunch, fresh seafood on the grill, and cafe dining on the street. Among the entrees, veal scallopini is a favorite at $23.95. It's served with oyster mushrooms, cognac and cream, and garlic potatoes and fresh vegetables.
