Requirements

Daily permit for November and December; available at the Ridge hunter station. Reservations needed for Nov. 1, weekends and holidays; daily permit is required for firearm deer-hunting (awarded by drawing only)

Year-round except during January deer season. Seasonal access permits available from state Department of Environmental Conservation. Daily hunting access permit (free) required November-December and January deer hunting season

What to hunt

Small game, including water fowl and stocked pheasant and deer. Hunting before Nov. 1 (for crow, woodcock and goose) and after Jan. 31 (for rabbits and some other small game) is by seasonal access permit
